Read a minute fraction correctly
Each row gives a whole-minute count and its equivalent fraction of an hour, rounded to two decimal places. Divide the minute count by sixty to obtain the underlying value. Fifteen minutes is 0.25 hours, thirty minutes is 0.50, and forty-five minutes is 0.75. Sixty minutes completes a whole hour and therefore appears as 1.00.
The first row is 0.02 because one minute is approximately 0.016667 hours. Forty-eight minutes is 0.80, not 0.48. A decimal point denotes a fraction of one hour; it does not replace the colon in a time notation. For example, eight hours and thirty minutes is 8.50 rather than 8.30.
Use the interactive reference
Click a minute value to put that duration into the converter above. The tool switches to the forward tab and returns focus to its input, allowing you to add whole hours or choose more decimal places. Keyboard users can reach each value and activate it with a normal button action. The table is real HTML, so its values remain readable without JavaScript.
Copy table transfers the minute counts and their displayed decimal-hour values as tab-separated text. Download chart CSV includes the source durations, exact minutes, displayed values, and a total row. The table is calculated from the same function as the converter, so the reference and interactive results use the same display rounding.
Print a clean copy or save a PDF
Use Print / Save PDF to open the browser print dialog. Select a paper printer or the browser’s PDF destination. The print stylesheet keeps the sixty-row reference and removes navigation, input fields, and unrelated sections. Check the print preview before saving, since paper size and browser margins can affect the final pagination.
The table is arranged in two readable groups: minutes one through thirty and thirty-one through sixty. This organization keeps the complete range available without requiring a wide horizontal table on a phone. For a live calculation involving seconds, use the converter instead of interpolating between printed rows. Printed values intentionally use only two decimal places.
Add hours and avoid rounded sums
For a duration that includes whole hours, add the hour count to the minute fraction. Eight hours and forty-five minutes becomes 8.75. Twenty-five hours and thirty minutes becomes 25.50. These values describe elapsed duration and do not wrap at midnight. To reverse a decimal quantity, use the dedicated decimal-to-time page.
Do not use the rounded table values as the input for a multi-row total. Three one-minute rows would appear to sum to 0.06, but the original three-minute duration equals 0.05 hours. The Batch converter and weekly timesheet add the exact seconds before rounding. Use those tools when the total matters, and keep this chart as a quick reference.
